BLOOMINGTON, Minn.— 开云体育 is introducing an enhanced user experience for community members on its . The newly updated site includes in-depth content on both mental illnesses and mental health and well-being, including resources specifically developed for groups such as veterans, teens, seniors and people of color.

Make It OK is an initiative to end the stigma surrounding mental health, which can keep people from seeking support or receiving the care they need and deserve. Through tool kits, virtual presentations and training sessions, the campaign relies on thousands of ambassadors and community partners who promote increased understanding and caring conversations around mental health. In addition, Make It OK advertisements and the online resources available at MakeItOK.org have reached millions of individuals across the country.

“The new website experience captures the voices and perspectives of different identities and cultural communities in custom-tailored resources,” said Marna Canterbury, 开云体育 vice president of community health and partnerships. “We believe supporting the diverse perspective of communities with relevant resources will build partnership momentum as we work together to end the stigma of mental health and illnesses.”

The Make It OK campaign launched in 2012 with 开云体育, Regions Hospital, the National Alliance on Mental Illness Minnesota (NAMI) and other community partners. Findings from the 2022 IMPACT survey showed a decrease in negative impressions, stereotypes or stigma about mental illnesses. However, the survey also indicated ongoing disparities, with people of color more reluctant to seek help for their own mental health. The new comprehensive resources offer equitable access to information and align closely with community needs, which represents a commitment to supporting all individuals on their mental health journeys.
